                     Mrs. Mary Beauford-Business Owner
 Mrs. Mary Lou Beauford, 73 of 2113 Moncrief St. died Monday, Sept, 29, 1997, 
in Blythe.
 The funeral will be at 3pm Thursday at Platt's Funeral Home, Crawford Avenue, 
with the Revs. Sandra Lightner and Albert Halford officiating. Burial will be 
in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown.
 Mrs. Beauford, a native of Augusta, was the owner of Beauford Glass Co. and a 
member of Friendship Methodist Church.
 Survivors include two sons, Thomas L. Beauford Jr., Evans and Richard W. 
Beauford, Augusta; six daughters, Gail Long and Cindy Schlichting, both of 
Augusta, Sandra Esry, Wrens, Ga., Connie Phillips, Blythe, Pansy Myers, 
Thomason, and June Hartley, Aiken; and 25 grandchildren and 21 great-
grandchildren.
 Pallbearers will be Thomas DeKalb, Richie Beauford, Mark Myers, Sammy 
Landrum, Roy Landrum, and Chris Reynolds.
 Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 325 Eighth St., 
Augusta, Ga. 30901.
 The family will receive friends from 7 to 9pm today at the funeral home.

Additional Comments:
Mary Lou was born 19 Aug 1924 to George Perry Edenfield and Vianna "Anna" 
Carroll Edenfield. Her husband was Thomas Leonard Beauford Sr. who is also 
buried at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Georgia death certificate #042949.
