(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net September 20, 2009, 11:13 am The Auguata Chronicle 11-18-1934 Page 7 Mrs. Brantley Passes At Local Infirmary Mrs. Margaret Norris Brantley, widow of the late Thomas Brantley, of 1420 Broad Street, died at the University hospital yesterday morning at 6 o'clock after an illness of three weeks. Funeral services will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic church, of which she was a member, this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The Rev. Father Michael Cronin will officiate and interment will be in Magnolia cemetery. Pallbearers will be James J. Mura, R. B. Arthur, John L. Armstrong, W. J. Bolinger, Sheriff M. Gary Whittle, and Deputy Sheriff W. C. Wilkinson. Mrs. Brantley was a native of Augusta, but had lived here only nine months prior to her death. She is survived by one son, J. C. Brantley of Dublin, Ga.; one grandson, Lehman Brantley; and one brother, Tom E. Norris of Augusta.
