MORTUARY.

Captain Wm. T. Butt, Augusta, Ga.
Augusta, Ga., June 24-
Captain William Thomas Butt, a prominent and highly regarded resident of this 
city, died tonight at 8:30 o'clock.  He was born in Glenville, Ala., January, 
1843, and served with distinction during the civil war in Lowry's brigade, 
under General Cleburne.  Captain Butt married Miss Mary Panton, of Beech 
Island, S. C.  He is survived by three children-William H. Butt, Mrs. Chester 
Clark and Miss Anne Walton Butt.  The funeral occurs Tuesday afternoon.
