                              Mrs. J. C. Carroll
 Mrs. Martha Edenfield Carroll, the wife of the late J. C. Carroll, died at 
the residence, 1932 Pearl Avenue, yesterday morning at 11 o'clock after an 
illness of five weeks.
 Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at the 
Lake Park Baptist Church, the Rev. Jack Corry officiating, assisted by the 
Rev. Wesley Harrell. Burial will be in West View Cemetery.
 The body will be at the residence until the hour of the services.
 Mrs. Carroll was a native of Bullock County, Ga. and had lived in Augusta for 
several years. She was a daughter of John Edenfield and Vienia Kennedy 
Edenfield, both natives of Georgia. She was a member of the Crawford Avenue 
Baptist Church.
 Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. V. V. Rikard and Mrs. Ella Carroll, both of 
Augusta; two step-daughters, Mrs. Jennie Price and Mrs. Ellen Caswell, both of 
Clinton, SC; two sons, Troy E. Carroll and Roy Carroll, both of Augusta; a 
step-son, W. C. Carroll of Augusta; a sister, Mrs. Frances Wrens of Metter, 
Ga.; a brother, Lester Edenfield of Summit, Ga.; and a number of grandchildren 
and great-grandchildren.
 

Additional Comments:
Martha was born May 1878 to John P. Edenfield and Lucinda Vianna Cannady 
Edenfield. Georgia death certificate #29126. Her husband was James Collons 
Carroll who is also buried at West View Cemetery.
