(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net December 9, 2012, 3:51 pm The Augusta Chronicle 11-16-1988 Page 3 Mrs. Alice Carroll Retired Draw Frame Operator Mrs. Alice Cato Carroll, 75, of 1916 Starnes St., died Monday, Nov. 14, 1988, at Humana Hospital, Augusta. The funeral will be at 3pm Thursday at Central Baptist Church, with the Revs. Jerry Wilson and Guy S. Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. A native of Batesburg, Mrs. Carroll had spent most of her life in Augusta and was a member of Central Baptist Church. She retired from Graniteville Co. as a draw frame operator. Survivors include her husband, Troy E. Carroll Sr., Augusta; three daughters, Mildred C. Lowman and Pauline Sauls, both of Grovetown and Betty Lou Rowe, Augusta; a son, Troy E. "Buddy" Carroll Jr., Augusta; four brothers, James Cato and Louis Cato, both of Augusta, Harrison "Buddy" Cato, Grovetown, and Eugene Cato, Gloverville, SC; three sisters, Claire Durden and Marie Shaw, both of Augusta, and Dorothy LaCour, Bossier City, La. and 21 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be deacons of Central Baptist Church. Friends may call at the residence or at the funeral home until 2pm. Thursday, then at the church.
