Carroll, and a resident of Augusta for the past nine years, died at her home, 1726 Fenwick Street, yesterday afternoon at 6:12 o'clock after an illness of two days. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Horeb church at Empire, Ga., tomorrow at 2 o'clock. The Rev. S. E. Thurlow will officiate and interment will be made in the Bowers Cemetery. The funeral cortege will leave the residence here for Empire tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Carroll, a native of Dearing, Ga., was a devout member of the Second Advent Church. Besides her husband, Mrs. Carroll is survived by three daughters, Miss Flossie Carroll and Miss Virginia Carroll, both of Augusta and Miss Aline Carroll of Washington, Ga.; two sons, Lloyd L. Carroll of Eastman and Clarence E. Carroll of Augusta; and six grandchildren. Additional Comments: Sophie was born 19 Apr 1875 to Wilder Phillips and Salina Hall Phillips.
