                               MR. FRANKLIN CLAXTON
Mr. Franklin Roosevelt Claxton, husband of Mrs. Doris B. Claxton of Hillside 
Drive, entered into rest Saturday, April 3, 2004, at University Hospital. 
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at Immanuel 
Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Coyle officiating. Interment will be in 
Pineview Memorial Park. 
He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired 
from Durham Corporation and was a member of Life Underwriters Association. He 
was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. 
Additional survivors include a son, Gary Claxton, North Augusta; a daughter, 
Karen Long, North Augusta; four brothers, Eddie Claxton, McBean, Billy 
Claxton, Martinez, Z.J. Claxton, Jr., Grovetown, Glenn Claxton, Harlem; two 
sisters, Shirley Hall, Augusta, JoAnne Cushman, Martinez; two grandchildren, 
Austin Long and Anna Long. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Debt 
Retirement Fund or Youth Activities Fund, 615 Old Edgefield Road, North 
Augusta, SC 29841. 
The family will receive friends Monday, April 5, 2004, from 6 to 8 p.m., at 
Rowland Funeral Home. 
Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Franklin was born 17 Oct 1932 to Zachariah J. Claxton Sr. and Mary Jane Tapley 
Claxton.
