Interment will follow in the churchyard cemetery. Pallbearers will be Herman Blanford, JP Price, JW Byned, HC Ralph, CC Carey and WJ King. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr Will Jenning, HT Farris, WR Johnston, JC Rachels, Richard E Allen, Clifford Steed, Ralph Gay, PK Tant, Sweeney Sikes and Chief John Kennedy. Mr. Clark was born in Hamburg, SC and has lived in this community all of his life, the major part of which was spent in Augusta. He had been active in public life and was prominent in civic and religious affairs. Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Mrs Annie Irene Worsham Clark; five sons, William Jessie J, and James Clark, Fitzgerald, GA; Haywood Clark, Barnesville, GA and Charles C. Clark, Jr, Graniteville, SC; two daughters, Mrs Lillie Boysworth, and Mrs CJ Johnson, both of Augusta; 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
