Eanes, of 2022 1/2 McDowell St., who died in a local hospital at 11:05am Tuesday after a short illness, will be conducted at 3pm Wednesday at Greene Street Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Robert F. Hunt. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park. A native of McCormick, SC, Mrs. Eanes had lived in Augusta for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Georgia Boysworth Palmer, both of South Carolina families. Mrs. Eanes retired as Summerville exchange chief operator for Southern Bell Co. She had a perfect Sunday School church attendance record. She was a member of the Pioneers and the Silver Threads. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mae Bignon, Huntington, W VA; a niece, Mrs. E.S. Manning, Atlanta; a nephew, William J. Bignon, Lincolnton; and several other relatives. Pallbearers will be Otis Minor, Floyd Dively, A. B. Harley, Robert Barbin, Paul Blue and L.A. Cook.
