Funeral will be conducted from St. James this Thursday at 5pm. Dr. Wills M. Jones officiating. Interment Westover. Grealish-Poteet and Walker. Joseph L. Ergle, 59, dies At Hospital; Rites To Be Today Joseph Lawson Ergle, 59, of 605 Wrights Avenue, died at a local infirmary yesterday morning at 5:15 o'clock after an illness of two weeks. Funeral services will be held at the St James Methodist Church, of which he was a devout member, this afternoon at 5 o'clock. Dr Wills M Jones will officiate and interment will be in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be CA Dennis, IR White, Wilbur Powell, WE Templeton, RA Toole and Paul Otis. Members of the Barton Bible class will serve as honorary pallbearers. The remains will be at the Grealish-Poteet and Walker Funeral home until 11 o'clock this morning, when they will be removed to the residence of his sister in law, Mrs. JR Jennings, 545 Telfair Street. Mr Ergle was one of the oldest real estate dealers in Augusta. He was a native of South Carolina, the son of Fred Ergle and Mrs Alice Connelly Ergle. He was the widower of the late Mrs Maggie Mae Ergle. The deceased is survived by two sisters, Mrs Paul Anderson of Bath, SC, and Miss Alice Ergle of Langley, SC; two sisters in law, Mrs Jennings and Mrs AP Timmerman; two nieces, Mrs Walter Johnson and Miss Mary Louise Jennings, and two Nephews, OP Boysworth and James R. Jennings, all of Augusta.
