Fowler

Mr. Leon Olney Fowler, age 38, died at his residence at Pickard late Saturday 
afternoon after a lingering illiness.  He was a member of the Clifford F. Dean 
chapter of the D.A.V. and a former member of Company H, 162nd Infantry, A.E.F.  
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from Friendship Church with the 
Rev. Yancey Hicks of Roberta, Ga. officiating.  Burial service was conducted by 
a squad of R.E. Lee Institute Cadets.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma Butts Fowler, two sons;  Onley and Virgil 
Fowler, parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Fowler, sister Miss Nettie Lee Fowler and 
two brothers;  S.B. Fowler and Newton J. Fowler, all of Thomaston.
