EJ Mills Sr
EJ (Early) Mills Sr, of 2501 Jolles Ave, a local carpenter, died Tuesday in an 
Augusta hospital.
Funeral services will be at 5 pm Thursday at Platt's Funeral home with the Rev 
Daniel W Carroll officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
He was a native of Augusta and had lived in the city all his life.  His parents 
were the late Henry Marion Mills and Annie Belle Crawford.  He was a member of 
Carpenters Union Local No 283.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs Emmie Rhodes Mills, Augusta; five sons, Richard 
O Mills, Earl Jackson Mills, Jr; Starling Powell, Carl Powell and Bobby Powell 
all of Augusta; tow daughters, Miss Pamela Lynn Mills and Miss Freda Powell, 
both of Augusta; four brothers, BE Mills Sr, Harry W Mills, John T Mills and 
James H Mills, all of Augusta; and two sisters, Mrs JR Bessinger and Mrs Albert 
Moody Sr, both of Augusta.
Friends may call at the residence or at Platt's Funeral Home.
