John T Crawford Dies at Residence
Funeral services for John Thomas Crawford, 78, who died at the residence of his 
daughter, Mrs HM Mills, 229 Eve Street, yesterday morning, will be held at the 
Church of God this afternoon at 4 o'clock with the Rev TD Brogdon officiating.  
Interment will be in West View Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Edgar Mills, EJ 
Mills, HW Mills, Roy Newman, Ray Newman and Earle Frye.
Mr Crawford was a native of Lincoln County but had lived in Augusta practically 
all of his life.  He was an employee of the Sibley Manufacturing company and 
was held in high regard by his associates and neighbors.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs Annabelle Mills, Augusta; one son, Sam 
Crawford, Augusta; one sister, Mrs Ella Cox, Langley, SC; one brother, George 
Crawford, Langley; 14 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
