                        Mrs. Clyde L. Hurt
 Mrs. Virginia Carroll Hurt, wife of Clyde L. Hurt, of 1001 Highland Ave., 
died at a local infirmary yesterday following an extended illness.
 Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4pm from Trinity Methodist Church, 
the Rev. Wallace Z. Wiggins officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest 
Memorial Park.
 A native of Dodge County, Ga., Mrs. Hurt had lived in Augusta 25 years. She 
was a member of Trinty Methodist and was a house wife.
 Survivors include her husband; one sister, Mrs. Alline C. Shafer of Augusta; 
two brothers, Clarence E. Carroll of August and Lloyd L. Carroll of Macon, 
Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
 The body will be at Poteet Funeral Home until the hour of the service.

Virginia was born Sep 1916 to John Henry Carroll and Sophie Phillips Carroll.
