Mr. Howard Leitner
Retired Office Manager

Mr. Howard M. Leitner Jr. 83  died Thursday Oct 13, 1994 at University Hospital.

The funeral will be at 2 pm today at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. 
John W. P. Oliver officiating. Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park 
Mausoleum.

Mr. Leitner, a lifelong resident of Augusta, was a long time employee of the 
Graniteville Co. He was a graduate of Emory University and an Army veteran of 
World War II.

Mr. Leitner was a trustee of the Gregg Foundation and a director and treasurer 
of the Gregg-Graniteville Foundation, Inc.  He was a trustee and treasurer of 
the Augusta College Foundation and a member of First Presbyterian Church, where 
he served as an elder and as treasurer of the Board of Trustees. He was a 
founding trustee of Westminster schools of Augusta and a member of Berean-
Wilson Bible Class of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a great-niece, Margaret Broome Henry.

Pallbearers will be Henry B. Martin, Bruce C. Kitchen, Jr., T.Lorin Hughes, Dan 
M. Perrow, Wilmer W. Wallace, and Philip E...
