A. Lamkin William Augustus Lamkin, 1514 Richmond Ave., died last night in a local hospital after an illness of three months. He was 53. Funeral services will be conducted today at 4 p.m. at the graveside of Westover Memorial Park by the Rev. Ralph Shea, pastor at Woodlawn Methodist Church. Mr. Lamkin, a watchmaker, was a brother-in-law of Judge H. A. Woodward of the Juvenile Court. He is survived by his wife, two sons, William and Richard Lamkin, a daughter, Miss Linda Lee Lamkin, one brother, Ralph Lamkin of Harlem, three sisters Mrs. H. A. Woodward, Mrs. Nora Churchill, and Mrs. Leon Bruno, all of Augusta, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be at Elliot Sons until the hour of services. (Note: William Augustus Lamkin was the son of the late Augustus F. and Nora Belle Culver Lamkin of Columbia County. He was born on April 19, 1900, in Columbia County. “Gus” Lamkin married Frances Pauline Utley on December 12, 1926 in Augusta.)
