Mr. Goody McManus Died At Age of Eighty Years

Died at Residence of Granddaughter on Walker Street

Mr. Goody McManus died at the residence of his grandduaghter, Mrs. J. H. 
Wilhelm at 1942 Walker Street yesterday.  He was eighty years of age and was a 
farmer. He had only been sick for about nine days and his death was quite a 
shock to his many friends.  He had resided in Augusta for only four years.
The funeral will take place from the Crawford Avenue Baptist Church this 
morning at 11 o'clock.  He was a member of the church.  The Rev. Thomas Walker 
will officiate and the interment will be in the West View Cemetery.
He is survived by his two sons;  T.L. and W. B. McManus of Grovetwon, four 
daughters;  Mrs. J.H. Randall of this city, Mrs. W.P. McManus of Gracewood, 
Mrs. James Eubanks of Appling, and Mrs. John Partridge of Berzella, Ga.
