Dozier died in Jacksen County, Fla. Oct 20, 1856, aged 2 years, 5 months, and twenty days. HEATIE (for this was her pet name) was a remarkable child for spritliness, beauty, kindness, and affectionate disposition. She was fondly loved by her parents, and petted by her relations. On Saturday night before her death, she was seized with fever, but rose Sunday morning and passed the day without complaining. In the evening her Mother proposed to ride her out, as she feared that Heatie did not feel well; the carriage was ordered, and she rode some six miles, in company with her Parents and little Brother; on returning, she sat at the table and ate her supper as usual, after which she was prepared for bed and slept quietly until between 9 and 10 o'clock. On examination her fever was found to be increasing rapidly, and at 12 o'clock she was in convulsions, which lasted her until 8 o'clock the next morning, when she breathed her last. "O Death, Thou hast All Seasons for thine own."
