Bignon Jr LINCOLNTON, GA-Mrs William Joseph (Kathleen Menger) Bignon Jr, 81, of Route 2, died Friday at her residence. The funeral will be at 3 pm Monday at Platt's Funeral Home with the Revs John "Dusty" Rhodes and Deryl Odom officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs Bignon, a native of Richmond County, lived most of her life in the Augusta area. She was a retired medical assistant and a member of Lincolnton United Methodist Church. She was a member of Double Branches Sewing Club and Mamie Spires Circle. Survivors include her husband; a stepdaughter, Patricia Ann Brown, Augusta; a sister, Louis M Hudson, Augusta; and two brothers, E Marion Menger, North Augusta, and James G Fitzgerald, Augusta. Pallbearers will be Harry E Smith, Richard D Smith, Russell N Smith, Dr Howard Hudson, James M Menger and Carl R Menger. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children or to United Methodist Church Children's Home. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm today at the funeral home.
