John C Wilkinson, restaurant owner, dies at age 50
John Carswell Wilkinson, 50, of Route 2, Box 420, Hephzibah, owner of 
Wilkinson's Cafe on Broad Street, died Tuesday in an Augusta hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm today in Westover Memorial Park with 
the Rev Rudolph Baker officiating, assisted by the Rev Richard Long.
Mr Wilkinson was a lifelong resident of Richmond County and had operated 
Wilkinson's Cafe since World War II.  He had served in the US Navy during World 
War II and was a life member of St John United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs Julia Roberta Dawson Wilkinson, Hephzibah; 
three sons, John C Wilkinson Jr, Titusville, Fla, James E Wilkinson, and David 
D Wilkinson, Hephzibah ; one brother, Robert J Wilkinson Jr, North Augusta.
Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Street, is in charge.
