Anne J. Perkins, 83, of Augusta, died Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at Athens 
Regional Hospital.

Born in Merlau Kreis Alsfeld, Germany, she had been a resident of Augusta 
since 1949. She was a member of Curtis Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She 
was preceded in death by her husband, Mervil Perkins.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia S. and Jerry Berger, 
Trenton, S.C.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Mervil and Mary Jane 
Perkins, Bruce Frank and June Perkins Martinez and Wilfried Glenn Perkins, 
Lincolnton; grandchildren, Ray Boling, Troy Boling, Terri L. Meggs, Lori 
Ahlbrandt, Sarah Jones, Laura Faircloth, Mark Perkins, Michael Perkins, 
Jeannett Berger, Jeff Berger, Bob Berger, Holley Waters and Ryan Mason; 
seventeen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 3, in the Proteet Funeral Home 
West Chapel, Augusta, with the Rev. Sherrell Dunn officiating. Burial was in 
the Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Mark Perkins, Mike Holley, Ryan 
Mason, Don Sheffield, Charles Ivey, and Blake Ivey.

Poteet Funeral Home, Augusta, was in charge of arrangements.
