Obit Reads - 05/07/1955

Mrs. Linnie Marshall Shannon, 59, died yesterday at her residence, 1427 Broad 
St, of a heart attack.
Survivors include her husband, George R. Shannon; a daughter, Miss Dorothy V. 
Hall of Augusta; Two Brothers, Vernon Marshall of Baltimore and Otis F. 
Marshall of Warrenville, S.C. and a number of nephews and nieces, including 
Mrs. Andrew Jones of Houston.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3 P.M. at Poteet Funeral Home 
Chapel by the Rev. Charles G. Roe. Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park.
Mrs. Shannon was a member of the First Christian Church and a Housewife.

Mrs. George Shannon

Funeral services for Mrs. Linnie Hall Shannon, 59, who died here Friday of a 
heart attack; will be conducted today at 3 P.M. at Poteet Funeral Home Chapel 
by the Rev. Charles G. Roe, Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park.
She was a native  Augustan and was the wife of George R. Shannon. She was a 
member of First Chritian Church.
Pallbearers will be O.R. Murrah, W. Curtis Owens, J.G. Smith, Paul Williams, 
L.C. Andrews and Thomas Graham.
The body will be at the funeral home.
