                          Robbie D. Thompson
 CLEARWATER, SC---Robbie D. Thompson, 79, of No. 17 Church St. died Saturday 
at University Hospital, Augusta.
 The funeral will be at 3pm today at Augusta Primitive Baptist Church, 
Augusta, with Elders C. Gerald Proctor, T. Roe Scott, and N. Max Hicks 
officiating. Burial will be in West View Cemetery, Augusta.
 Mr. Thompson was a native of Emanuel County, Ga. and became a resident of 
South Carolina in 1932. He was a retired furniture salesman and a member of 
Augusta Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 52 years.
 Survivors include his wife, Mae McGowan Thompson; a son, Grady Thompson, 
Greenwood; a daughter, Vera Elliott, Augusta; two brothers, Lundy Thompson, 
Warner Robins and Eddie "Pat" Thompson, Toccoa, Ga.; and a sister, Mattie Lou 
Thompson, Macon, Ga.
 Pallbearers will be David "Bubba" Thompson, Ken Thompson, Mike Elliott, Mark 
Elliott, Allan Proctor, and Robert Hoover.
 Deacons of Augusta and First Primitive Baptist churches will be honorary 
pallbearers.
 Friends may call at the church beginning at 2pm today.
 Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Telfair Street, is in charge of arrangements.

Robbie was born 5 Dec 1907 to Denson Neal Thompson and Mattie Riner Thompson.
