Obituary

Mrs. Nellie B. Utley Dies at Residence

Mrs. Nellie Benson Utley, 45, died yesterday at her residence on Peach
Orchard Road after an illness of two months. Funeral services will be held

at Poteet Funeral Home this afternoon at 3:30 o’clock. The Rev. W. M.
Barfield will officiate. Internment will be in Hillcrest Memoral Park
cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: G. S. Campbell, C. M. Johnson, C. G. Daniel, J. P.
Clark, C. L. Burkett and W. W. Holley.

Survivors are her husband, H. D. Utley, four daughters, Mrs. F. E. Allen,
Miss Edith Utley, and Miss Gloria Utley, all of Augusta, and Mrs. T. L.
Paul,
Hartwell, Ga., mother, Mrs. Olivia Benson, Louisville, Ga., five brothers,
J. M.
Benson, Miami, Fla., E. F. Benson, Augusta, J. F. and David Benson of
Louisville,
Ga., and T. D. Benson, Thomson, Ga. A number of uncles, aunts, nieces and
nephews.

(Note: Nellie Benson Utley, born Jan. 1, 1900, in Appling Co., Ga., was
the daughter of F. C. and Olivia Salley Benson. She married Henry D. Utley
on May 7, 1922, Louisville, Ga.)
