Mrs. Carrie Louise Young, 52, died early this morning at the residence 1838 Pearl Ave. after an extended illness. She had lived in Augusta practically all her live. Survivors are her mother-Mrs. Emma Young, one daughter-Mrs. Margaret Sanders, one son-Wesley Williamson; all of Augusta. Six grandchildren and several aunts and uncles. Funeral arrangements to be announced later. February 18, 1954. Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Louise Young, 52, of 1838 Pearl Ave., who died at midnight Tuesday, will be conducted today at 4pm at the First Assembly of God Church by the Rev. S.J. Westberry. Burial will be in Westview. Pallbearers will be Edward Francher, Will Simon, Eual Tudor, J.C. Edenfield, Edward Parrich and Willie Maddox. Mrs. Young was a native of Columbia county, but had resided here most of her life. Survivors include: her mother-Mrs. Emma Young and one daughter-Mrs. Margaret Sanders.
