Senator Nicholas WARE son of Capt. Robert WARE and Margaret TANKERSELY
Born 16 February 1776, Caroline Co., VA
Married on 12 June 1806 to Susan B. CARR (daughter of Col. Thomas D. CARR and 
Frances BACON.
They had 8 children - Dr. Robert Alexander, Thomas Carr, Mary Ann Lavonia, 
Frances Selina, Susan Margaret, Nicholas, Richard Henry & Caroline Virginia
1819 - 1821 Mayor of Augusta, GA
1821 - 1824 US Senator
Died 29 September 1824, New York City, NY
Ware County, GA was named after him.
