Curley In Augusta, Ga. Augusta, Ga., November 29 – An event in which a great deal of social interest centers was the marriage of Miss Eleanor Cooney and John A. Curley which was solemnized Wednesday at high noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on the Hill. The church was beautifully adorned for the occasion with slender palms and gorgeous white chrysanthemums. Mrs. Coleman Dempsey presided at the organ and as the tones of Lohengrin’s bridal chorus sounded the party entered led by the ushers, Claude Busch, of Aiken, and John F. Cooney, Jr. They were followed by the maid of honor, Miss Margaret Cooney, sister of the bride, who entered alone and wore a lovely gown of sand-colored, brocaded chiffon velvet, with a becoming hat of the same tones, and carried an armful of radiance roses. The bride entered with father and was met at the altar by the groom, who was attended by W.C. Scott. The bride was gowned in a model of brown brocaded chiffon velvet worn with all accessories in the same color. Her hat was of brown velvet trimmed with lace and tiny flowers. Her flowers were bride’s roses and lilies of the valley. After the ceremony, which was read by Father James A. Kane, the bridal party and a few friends were entertained at a wedding breakfast at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Cooney, on the Hill. Lovely yellow chrysanthemums were used with exquisite effect throughout the rooms and on the beautifully appointed table. In the early afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Curley left in their car for a wedding trip to Florida and on their return will be at home at 1414 Heath Street, the Hill.
