Richmond County Court records 1853

State of Georgia, County of Richmond.  to any Minister of the Gospel, Judge, 
Justice of the Interior Court, or Justice of the Peace, or any Person 
authorised to celebrate:  These are to authorixe and permit you to join in the 
honorable state of matrimony, James Rowe of the one part, and Mary Ann Walker 
of the other part, according to the Rites of your Church: provided there be no 
lawful cause to obstruct the same; and this shall be your authority for so 
doing.  Given under my hand, as Ordinary, for the County aforesaid, this 
twenty fourth day of June 1853 Leon P. (unreadable) as Ordinary.  I hereby 
certify, that James Rowe and Mary Ann Walker were joined together in the holy 
bans of matrimony, by me, on the third day of July 1853.  James E. Caslicu, JP

Additional Comments:
the jpeg file was sent to Debra Crosby to be resized.  Hopefully, the photo 
and text can be combined and posted.  James and Mary Ann Rowe moved to Walton 
County, GA  soon after the Civil War was over.
