Ahem! I, Charlotte Bugg of said county and State being of sound mind, memory and understanding, But being advanced in years and considering the uncertainly of life do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following to wit; First - it is my will and desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and satisfied, as soon as conveniently can be after my desease (decease but it seems to be spelled the other way) Item - I give and bequeath unto my Grand-daughter Mary Shaw, the daughter of Tilman Shaw formerly of said county and my daughter Melvenia(?) deceased ___ Now a pupil at the Downers _ Institute_ School __ South Carolina; The sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.) the same to be held in Trust for her by my Son-in-Law the said Thomas Wylds_ Whom I direct to loan out the same to the best advantage paying over to her or towards her Board and Clothing Annually, the interest accrueing up on the said amount; And in case she should marry with the written consent and approbation of her said Trustee, then and in that event it is my will and desire that he do pay over to her the principal sum held by him in trust as aforesaid.~ Item: I give and bequeath unto my Grand Son Edmond the brother of the aforesaid Mary Shaw the sum of Three Hundred ($300.) upon the following terms and conditions the same to be held in Trust for him by my said Son in Law the said Thomas Wylds, who shall pay over to him or towards his Board and Clothing the annual interest accrueing upon said Principal Sum until the said Edmond arrives at the age of twenty-one years, when it is my will that he do receive as his own property the said principal held in trust as aforesaid __ until which time it is my further will and desire that the said Trustee do loan-out said principal upon good and undoubtful security. ~ And I do further earnestly bequest of my said son in law that he do at once bind over or appro--- the said Edmund to some fit and proper Mechanic or Mechan ?? to learn some ??????? trade. Item - I give and bequeath all the rest and residue of my estate both real and personal to my daughter Ann the wife of Thomas Wyldes of said county and my son George Bugg of Columbia County said share to be divided equally between them Share and Share alike, that is to say one half to my said daughter Ann and her children and the other half to my son George and his Children living at the time of his death ~ And lastly I do name make, constitute and appoint Thomas C. Wylds and William R. McLaws to be the Executors of this my last will and Testament, Giving and Granting them full power and Authority to sell, dipose of and make titles to any of my property in order to carry - out my intentions as declared and set-forth in the fore going clauses of this my last will and testament Without an order of Court first being ???? and obtained ~ In witness whereof ?????who let my hand & Seal this second day of March One thousand Eight hundred & Fifty-two (Signed) Charlotte Bugg Signed , Sealed and acknowledged and declared by the Testorix as her last will and Testament in the xxxxx who signed the Satue(?) in her presence and the presence of each other Samuel Walker T J.
