I, Jesse MORGAN, of the State of Georgia and County of Richmond, being thro the abundant mercy and goodness of God, tho weakening body, yet of a sound and perfect understanding and memory do constitute this my last will and testament and desire it may be believed by all and such. First I most humbly bequeath my soul to God my Maker beseeching his most gracious acceptance of it thro the all sufficient merit and mediation of my most compassionate redeemer Jesus Christ who gave himself to be an atonement for my sins and is able to save to the uttermost all that come unto God by him seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them and who I trust will not reject me a returning penitent sinner when I come to him for mercy in this hope and confidence I render up my soul with comfort. Humbly beseeching the most glorious and blessed trinity one God most Holy most Merciful and most gracious to prepare me for the time of my desolution and then to take me to himself into that peace and rest and incomparable felicity which he has prepared for all that fear and love his Holy name, Amen, Blessed be God I give my body to the earth from whence it was taken in full assurance of its resurrection from thence at the last day as for my burial I desire it may be decent without pomp or state at the direction of my dear wife and my executor hereafter named who I doubt not will manage it with all ? prudence as to my worldy estate I will and positively order that all my debts be paid and desire my executor to sell a tract of land I have joining William FLETCHER, deceased, and one hundred acres of land in Washington County, it being a part of a tract of land lying opposite where I now live and the lower part of the said tract. Frist I leave to my dear and loving wife for the term of her life the tract of land whereon I now live during her live(sic) containing one hundred acres and after her death to my son, Henry to him and his heirs and assigns forever. Further I leave to my loving wife during her widowhood all my stock of horses, cattle, hogs, sheep & with all my household furniture and working tools of every kind and at the expiration of her widowhood the stock furniture and tools above mentioned I give to my daughters each of them a bed and furniture and the residue to be sold and the money equally divided amongst my children and wife also I give to my son Henry(sic) one hundred acres of land it being part of a tract that joins a tract whereon I now live and above the hundred acres to be laid off joining the tract whereon I now live extending from the back line to the [River? Tract?] to him his heirs and assigns forever. And the other two hundred acres of the above mentioned tract of land I give to my son Garland to him his heirs and assigns forever. Further I give to my son Edward Pleasant one hundred eighty seven and a half acres of land in Washington County opposite where I now live on Ogeechee River to him his heirs and assigns forever. Further I constitute and appoint my dear and loving wife, Delilah MORGAN, executrix and Arthur FORT, executor and trustees for my children.
