Richmond COUNTY GA Admin of Nathaniel Hicks - Ruth Hicks Townshend Estate File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by "Pauleta Hicks" http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/richmond.htm Table of Contents page: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm Georgia Table of Contents: GEORGIA Richmond County To JOHN MEAD, Esquire Register of the probates for the County of Richmond WHEREAS Nathaniel Hicks & Ruth Hicks, otherways called Ruth Townshend, late of this county deceased lately died Intestate having whilst they lived and at the time of their deaths, divers good rights and credits within the said state, by means whereof the full disposition and power of granting the said Administration, of all and singular the goods, rights and credits of the said deceased, and auditing the accounts calculations and reckoning of the said Administration, and a final dismission of the same to me is manifestly known to belong & desiring that the goods rights and credits of the said deceased, may be well and truly administered, converted and disposed of do hereby grant unto Edmund B. Hicks (in whose fidelity in this behalf I very much confide) full power by the tenor of these presents to, administer the goods rights and credits of the said deceased which them in their life times at the time of their deaths did belong, and to ask, levy and recover the same, and to pay the debts in which the said deceased stood obliged so far forth as the goods rights and credits will extend, according to their rate and order of Law, being first sworn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God, to make a true and perfect inventory thereof, and to exhibit the same into my office in oder to be recorded on or before 30th day of March next ensuing and to render a just and true accounty, calculation, and recovering of the said administration when thereunto required and I ordain you of all and singular the goods, rights and credits of the said deceased~~~~ IN testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 30th day of December 1794 and in the 19th year of American Independence. Hicks, Administrator of all and singular the goods rights and credits of Nathaniel Hicks and Ruth Hicks Townshend, late of this county deceased. Wheresoever any of the goods or chattles of the said deceased are or do remain within the said parts and places and which shall be shewn unto you by the said Administrator and there view and appraise all and every the said goods and chattles being first worn on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God to make a true and perfect inventory and appraisement thereof and to cause the same to be returned under your hands or any three or for of you to the said Administrator on or before the 30th day of March next ensuing--------Given under my hand and seal at office this 30th day of December 1794 and in the 19th year of American Independence. Sealed with our seals and dated this 26th day of November 1818. WHEREAS the above named Martha Moore was on the 3rd day of November 1817 appointed by the honorable the justices of the Court of Ordinary of the county aforesaid, Guardian of the persons and property of Pamela E. Moore, a minor and orphan child of Jessee Moore late of said county deceased. Now the condition of the above obligation is such, that if the above bound Martha Moore shall well, truly and faithfully do, execute and perfomr all and singular the duties required of him by law as Guardian aforesaid, then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force.
