Item 1st: I give and bequeath to God who gave it -- and my body by decent interment to its mother earth. Item 2nd: I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Samuel Tarver the Plantation and land on which I now live. Item 3rd: I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Sarah Vollotton and her children after her two negro slaves viz Jerry and his wife Dinah. Item 4th: I give and bequeath unto my grandsons Robert E. and John Vollotton a negro boy slave named Tyler. Item 5th: I give and bequeath unto my grandsons the youngest sons of Robert Tarver, deceased, viz Robert and Smith Tarver a negro slave named Jim. Item 6th: I give and bequeath unto my grandson William Palmer son of Isabella Palmer a negro boy slave named George. Item 7th: I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Margarett Ann Tarver a negro man slave, named Dave, upon condition of paying when she receives him, to each of her sisters one fifth of the amount that he may be appraised at. Item 8th: I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Alice Ann Robinson Dillard a negro girl slave named Moselle. Item 9th: The balance of my property, after paying my just debts, if any, I give and bequeath share and share alike to my three children viz Samuel Tarver, Sarah Vollotton, and Etheldred J. Tarver, and to be divided with or without sale as they may deem best. Item 10th: I constitute and appoint my trusty and well beloved sons, Samuel and Etheldred J. Tarver my true and lawful executors to carry this my last Will and Testament into full and complete effect.
