The Solid South
  A sad and distressing accident happened near Monticello Saturday. Hulon and
Joe Preston were out hunting, when the former was killed by the accidental
discharge of a gun in the hands of the latter. the load was discharged into 
Hulon's left shoulder and penetrated his lungs. He fell unconscious and died
in about four hours from the time he was shot
