M. HUDSON and his charming lady have moved to Newnan, Ga., and will make it their future home. To the people of Newnan: Give them a hearty welcome, for you will find them worthy. We give them up with many regrets. --Mr. JESSE M. ALMAND has returned home from school and is now a partner in that reliable old merchantile house of H. P. & D. M. Almand & Co. JESSE has always been an especial favorite with us and we wish for him the greatest success. --After many years of study, and watching doctors, nurses and mothers handle infants, CHARLES HUDSON has made up his mind never to marry. He don't think, if left to himself, he could properly handle and arrange the toilet of the baby. --"Daddy" GEORGE LUCAS was so busy Christmas day that he failed to get his dinner, the first meal he has missed since the war. He eat four times the next day to get even. George is a great friend to his "inner man." --Mr. J. I. ROSSER is selling and taking care of acids, guano, etc., at the Rock ware house. He is a good man to deal with. --We are glad to see Mr. CLARENCE ALMAND, who has been on the sick list for several days, at his desk again. --R. J. CARR'S interest in 600 acres of land was purchased by T. H. BRYANS,JR., Tuesday at the Sheriff's sale for fifty dollars. --Our genial young friend, JOHNNIE ALMAND, will be with his brother, Mr. J. S. ALMAND, and would be pleased to have his friends come and see him. --There were 26 "DAY'S" at BOB DAY'S in one day, and fine bright "DAY'S", too. We are willing to vouch for it being a pleasant day for all the DAY'S. --Our genial old friend TOM BRYANS spent a few days in the city with his family this week. TOM is always in a good pleasant humor and its a treat to have him around. --For plantation tools and supplies you can do no better than to call on ALMAND & LANGFORD. You can always get reliable goods at bottom prices. --When wanting anything in the shoe line; repairing of harness, boots, shoes etc., call on Mr. J. W. CARTER. He does good work at low prices. Patronize home and an honest workman. --Mr. GEORGE BURNETT was in town this week with two or three loads of corn for sale. He has sold already a large amount of meat and has plenty left. Our country needs many such farmers. --Mr. N. T. STREET has bought the stock of cartridges of D. N. HUDSON & SON. They are of all kinds and sizes and as he bought them cheap will sell them the same way. He can fit anything that shoots, from a pop gun to a cannon. --The success of our friend ALLEN SUMMERS in the merchantile business proves him to be possessed of the traits that go to make a man, he started without money, friends or influence, and by hard work, close attention and honest dealings has established himself firmly in the business world. Long may he live and prosper. --Mr. D. M. ALMAND has purchased the shop place of the late J. W. LANGFORD. He will remove the buildings and connect it with the place he bought from DR. DOWNS and erect a handsome dwelling. If anyone in this section deserves a good home, both in this world and the next, it's DAVE ALMAND, for he is attentive to business and true to his church.
