~The building committee, with a goodly number of others, met this evening 
(Tuesday) at the place where the new Christian church is to be built, paid for 
the land and secured the deed, and cleaned off the ground.
~Mr. I. J. Born has been for the past few weeks trying to solve a problem in 
loss and gain as to whether he will lose a brother or gain a sister.
~Prof. Granger and Mr. J. K. White are on a visit this week to friends and 
relatives in Milton County.
~Mr. J. L. Graham has bought a tract of land from Mr. J. L. McCalla and will at 
an early day commence to build a residence.
~Mr. B. B. Bradford was taken very ill while sowing wheat on last Tuesday and 
had to have medical aid.
~Mrs. Almand, of Conyers, is visiting Mr. W. F. Curry this week.
~Prof. G. W. Lyons, of Atlanta, has articles out for a normal school to be 
taught in the month of December at Philadelphia Church. Prof. Granger has the 
articles and we learn from him that he has about fifteen already subscribed.
