The Georgia Enterprise October 24, 1889
     Mr. R. M. Preston, night watchman at the Rockdale Paper Mills shot and 
killed Mr. Perry Moon one night last week. Preston hailed Moon several times 
and receiving no reply fired several shots with fatal effect.
