The Solid South January 23, 1886
~Rev. W. D. Heath conducted the services at the Methodist Church last Tuesday 
night. The meeting was opened with prayer by Rev. Heath and followed with 
prayer by Mr. J. W. Carter. Rev. Heath then gave an earnest talk, taking the 
life of Paul as a subject. The meeting was closed with prayer from Rev. J. L. 
Lupo.

~The prayer meeting at the Presbyterian church last Thursday night was 
conducted by Dr. Quigg. He delivered a masterly lecture. Rev. Sam Scott closed 
the services with prayer.

~The prayer meeting at the Second Baptist Church last Thursday night was 
conducted by Mr. John F. Wallace. He gave a very interesting talk. Mr. Henry 
Almand made a  short talk. Messrs. J. H. Dabney, D. M. Almand and J. C. 
Stephenson.
