M. Almand last Saturday morning and pluck from the garden one of the tenderest and sweetest of flowers. Little Margaret was the pet of her household and with everyone that knew her. It is sad to think that her life was so short on this earth, but we know that our Heavenly Father doeth all things well. Do not think of little Margaret as being dead but as sleeping sweetly on the bosom of Jesus and beckoning to the dear ones he has left behind. Now that there is a vacancy in the home we ask God to be a constant visitor and comfort the broken hearted father and mother and help them to say “The Lord Giveth and the Lord Taketh Away, Blessed be the Name of the Lord.” It will only be a matter of time until the reaper will come and all of us will be summoned. We extend to the bereaved family our sincerest sympathy. * Conyers Weekly Banner, March 18, 1904 second obit Margaret Almand Born March 15, 1901- Died February 27, 1904. Between these two dates, so near together, there lived in the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Almand one of God’s sweetest children. Though her stay was short it was long enough to bind their hearts to her with cords of love that can never be broken. Wonderful is the strength of baby hands when they lay hold of parental hearts. The memory of her presence will abide until she welcomes them to her happy home above- their baby still. We do not understand why she went away, but through the darkness, we trust, she did not live in vain, and we are glad God gave her even for so short a time. Her young life, so innocent, so pure, has sweetened their lives, and now that she is gone, a new influence from above is felt, and their hearts are drawn thitherward. We miss her everywhere, something has gone out of life, of which there is always a consciousness, “a sense of something wanting, incomplete.” But always God is keeping her as beautiful, as sweet, and as pure as she was here, and throughout eternity she will always be there “little Margaret.” File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/rockdale/obits/a/almand3217gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.8 Kb
