The Solid South, October 30, 1891
  Mr. Henry J. Granade, of Lorraine district, died Thursday night of fever. He 
had been sick for several days but was thought to be better a day or two this 
week. He was able to sit up and walk about the house. Thursday however he was 
taken worse and could get nothing to relieve the attack. Mr. Granade was a 
strong robust young man and had never had any sickness in his life. He was 
about 25 years of age. 
  His remains will be buried today in the family burying ground near his 
fathers house.
