S. Marshall W. D. Kellett was shot and killed by moonshiners on Lookout Mountain, in Chattooga County, Tuesday, while guarding a prisoner. Additional Comments: William D. Kellett married Amanda Annie "Mandy" Moss on October 24, 1867 in Chattooga County, Georgia. From the 1880 and 1900 Chattooga County census records, they were the parents of at least seven children: Charley Stonewall Kellett; Mary Jane Kellett; Maude Kellett; William Calhoun Kellett; Katheryn "Kate" Kellett; Gordon Hiles Kellett; and Daisy Kirby Kellett.
