The Georgia Enterprise, May 23, 1889
Mrs. Dr. Nix, of Sheffield district, Rockdale County, is dead.

Additional Comments:
Dr. Joseph T. O. Nix married Nancy Ann Owens, his second wife, on November 9, 1870 in Newton County, Georgia.  He died in 1877 in Rockdale County.  They are both buried in Sodom Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Gwinnett and Rockdale Counties.
