Rockdale Banner, May 14, 1889

Mrs. Nix, the widow of Dr. J. T. O. Nix, of Sheffield district died last Friday in her 45th year and was buried at Sodom Church near her home Saturday evening. She was a noble woman. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved.

Additional Comments:
Dr. Joseph T. O. Nix married Nancy Owens, his second wife, on November 9, 1870 in Newton County, Georgia.  He died in 1877 in Rockdale County.  They are both buried in Sodom Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Gwinnett and Rockdale Counties.
