Death of Mrs. Ross
     The death of Mrs. Jane Ross, occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. 
A. Sammons. In Newton County, last Tuesday. Mrs. Ross was in her 98th year and 
all her long life of usefulness was marked by a genuine devotion to her friends 
and her church. She was the grandmother of Mrs. Henry Tucker. The funeral and 
interment occurred at Salem church in Sheffield last Wednesday, the service 
being conducted by Rev. J. P. McConnell.
