She was 13 years old and had only been sick one week. All that loving hands could do could not keep her here, for the loving Father took her to the home eternal, where there is no more pain nor sorrow. She leaves a heartbroken father, mother and brother, besides a host of relatives and friends to mourn her untimely death. The funeral services were conducted by Revs. Atha and Bone. Interment was in Sharon cemetery in Walton County. The Conyers Times, April 3, 1925 IN MEMORY OF MISS OZELLA SELLARS At noon, Tuesday, March 24, the death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Sellars in the Sheffield district and carried away the soul of their darling daughter, Ozella, age 13 years, who had been sick just one week. She bore her suffering with remarkable courage. Ozella was one of the sweetest girls I ever knew. She was the favorite among her schoolmates. She was brought home very ill and all that medical skill and loving hands could do was done, but God needed her and called her above. It seems so hard to give up my life long chum and schoolmate, but God’s will and not ours will be done. We can only prepare to meet Ozella in that other home, where suffering and heartaches are no more. Dear parents and brother, may God comfort you in your hours of grief. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Claude Atha at Sharon Church, Walton County, after which the body was laid to rest in the churchyard, witnessed by hundreds of friends and schoolmates and relatives. The floral offerings were very beautiful. We will miss her so much in our school room and Sunday School. She leaves to mourn her loss, her father and mother and one brother, Chester C. Sellars, a host of relatives and friends.
