Mrs. John Thompson Dies Thursday
     After a critical illness of several weeks, Mrs. John Thompson passed 
quietly away on Thursday morning of last week at the unusual age of 81 years.
     She was Miss Fannie McDonald and was married to Mr. Thompson more than 50 
years ago, having spent her entire life in and around Conyers.
     She has been a faithful member of the Primitive Baptist Church for many 
years and lived a quiet Christian life, loving home and all its surroundings.
     She is survived by her husband, one son, Mr. Alden Thompson, one 
granddaughter, Miss Mary Frances Thompson, of Decatur and one brother, Mr. Asa 
McDonald, of Almon.
     Funeral services were conducted at the home on Saturday afternoon by Rev. 
Cook, of Covington, with interment in Rockdale Cemetery Sunday.
