S. VEAL, died near Liberty Chapel, Ga., May 5th, 1892. One bright blossom from its fair mates has been taken. Another flower has been plucked from earth and planted in Heaven; where it may bloom for Jesus. Little TROY has gone; We no longer hear the halls ring with his merry laugh; no more will we see the sparkle of his deep blue eyes. They have faded away like the violet, ere the first bitter blast of winter comes. O, TROY, we miss the bright sunshine of thy sweet face. Our hearts are sad when we remember that thou art sleeping in the cold and silent grave. Sleep on, we would not awake thee. Ah; no. Me thinks I now hear thy silvery voice mingled with that happy band above. In beauty thy heavenly form is before me, decked with a crown of immortality. Look, weeping parents, see thy child a holy angel of light, hear the flutter of his snow white wings, in incline thine ear to the sweet strains of his golden harp, calling thee to Jesus. Then weep no more; hush the sad beatings of thine heart, “For whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth.” A FRIEND File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/rockdale/obits/v/veal1120nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/gafiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
