IN HER HONOR
Tributes of Respect to Queenie Wallis by the Second Baptist School.
     Queenie Wallis, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. U. Wallis, died at her 
home in Conyers, Ga., on the 4th day of May, 1889, aged twelve years. Our kind 
Heavenly Father has taken away very suddenly this young sister, just budding in 
to life, and one of the fairest flowers among us. She had been a consistent 
member of the Baptist church for two years and one of the most prompt and 
attentive members of our Sunday School.
     Resolved, that while we mourn her untimely death and removal from our 
midst, we submissively bend to the will of our Father in Heaven, who had need 
of the damsel, and this fair bud of promise in his kingdom above and for his 
own glory.
     Resolved, that we share in common with her parents the consolation 
received from her testimony of pardon and acceptance through Jesus Christ our 
Lord, and with them we mourn not as those without hope.
     Resolved, that we tender to the bereaved family our sympathy and respect 
and pray that sufficient grace may be bestowed upon them that they may be 
comforted and blessed in this their time of affliction.
     Resolved, that these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of our Sunday 
School, and copies be furnished the bereft family, and our city papers be 
requested to publish.
