HYMENEAL
     On Wednesday afternoon last, Mr. Willie S. MARKES and Miss Dora C. CARTER 
were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Billie ALMAND. The 
attendants were Mr. M. H. COOPER and Miss Viola MOORE, Mr. Lee BRADFORD and 
Miss Mattie MARKES. After the ceremony was performed, they immediately left for 
the home of the groom’s father, Mr. Joel MARKES, where a most luxuriant supper 
awaited the gleeful party. After eating supper, they left for their future home 
in Sheffield district, escorted by a large concourse of friends.
     Mr. MARKES is one of the very best farmers in the county, and has all the 
noble traits and qualifications that are attainable to a noble character and it 
is safe to say that he has taken from our midst one of the most beautiful and 
sweet natured young ladies ever reared up in our beautiful little town. May 
they have a happy and prosperous life.
