The Solid South, August 29, 1891
Almand-White
  Thursday night at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. P. H. White, 
Sheffield district, his accomplished daughter Miss Lavie White was married to 
Mr. John I. Almand of this city, Elder Eli L. McDaniell officiating in a most
impressive manner. The marriage occured at 5 o'clock in the afternoon in the 
presence of a number of friends of the contracting parties. After the ceremony
was over and usual congratulations extended the company were treated to a 
most magnificent supper, just such a feast as Mrs. White is noted for preparing.
  The bride and groom spent yesterday at Capt. J. M. White's where they were
tendered a reception and a splendid dinner. Mr. Almand is connected with the
firm of J. H. Almand & Co and will make his future home in the city.
  THE SOLID SOUTH extends congratulations and wishes them a happy and prosperous
life.
