The Georgia Enterprise, June 3, 1887
  Col. Marcus D. Irwin, of the Solid South, was recently united in marriage to
Miss Emma Peek. Rev. Dr. Henry Quigg officiated. All of Conyers, Ga. 
  The groom is one of the rising young journalists of this state, a bold and 
fearless writer and a talented, polished gentleman, well worthy of the precious 
prize he has won. 
  The bride is a daughter of our most excellent Senator, Hon. W. L. Peek, and 
is a most lovely, fascinating and accomplished young lady, whose pure heart and 
sweet disposition will make the life of our friend one long happy day.
  May peace and plenty bless this blissful union.
